Festival Bound
Many of the spectators also came in native dress.
Spectators in the in-field
The monks relax and enjoy the show while the girls in the background wait
to perform.
Parade Ride
There were a number of floats in the opening ceremonies
parade. This one featured the military. It's 'interesting' that the
military had a visible presence in a Tibetan cultural festival.
Waiting to Perform
These are some of the thousands of colorful performers.
Cool Outfits
Taking a Break
These military 'spectators' are found lounging in the infield during the
acrobatic horse riding demonstration.

Horse Racing
PhotoMann kneeled under the inner railing to shoot this.
The dust and rocks kicked up by the horse wasn't pleasant but the result
was worth it.
Having Fun!
The slide isn't reversed! This guy was having such a
great time he put his number on backwards. I'm sure the smile left his
face when the horse bucked him off about 100 meters down the track.
Unfortunately I was unable to catch that action.
Cultural Show
There were several 'fashion' and cultural shows during the festival.
Our press passes gave us great access to shoot pictures.
